Summer Program Offerings
Registration begins Monday, April 2, 2012
The Warren County Parks and Recreation Department will be offering several summer camps for ages 5 to 11 years of age (as of June 18, 2012) during 2012.
Early Bird Playground:
8:00am – 12pm
Session 1: June 18th through July 13th, Monday through Friday
Session 2: July 16th through August 10th, Monday through Friday
$180.00, plus $15.00 registration fee
50 participants per session
Playground in the Parks
1:00pm – 5:00pm
Session 1: June 18th through July 13th, Monday through Friday
Session 2: July 16th through August 10th, Monday through Friday

Participants are only allowed to be enrolled in one program and dual enrollment in sessions is not permitted.
All Summer Care programs will be held at the Warren County Community Center, 538 Villa Ave, Front Royal, Virginia 22630.

Enrollment forms are available at the Warren County Parks and Recreation located at the RES Youth Center and the Warren County Community Center. Enrollment forms can only be turned into the Warren County Community Center, Monday through Saturday, 8AM – 10PM and Sunday, 1PM – 9PM.

Live on Stage - Theatre Camp
The curtain is going up...on a summer filled with the excitement and magic of theater! Total theater immersion plus all of the fun of a great summer camp. Performers of all levels -- beginner and advanced -- find expression and fulfillment on stage and in the classroom. This 1-week program will immerse your elementary school-aged child in all aspects of the performing arts! Dramatist will lead explorations into the worlds of musical theatre, dance, choreography, set and costume design, puppet theatre, Shakespeare and MORE! At the end of the camp week, students will preform for family and friends.
In conjunction with the Selah Theatre Progject will be holding this Camp for rising 6th through 8th graders, at the Warren County Community Center, 538 Villa Ave, Front Royal, VA 22630, June 18th through 22nd, 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Cost is $65.00.
DramaShop - Theatre Camp
A favorite children's story will come to life by young actors in this camp. Students will begin the week with improvisational games then progress to rehearsal. With imagination and concentration, students will be able to perform a small, yet priceless gift for family and friends
In conjunction with the Selah Theatre Progject will be holding this Camp for rising 1st through 5th graders, at the Warren County Community Center, 538 Villa Ave, Front Royal, VA 22630, July 23rd through 27th, 9:00am to 12:00pm. Cost is $45.00.

BBOY DANCE CLASS
This Street Elements dance class is a program designed to teach the foundations and history of bboying, commonly known as break-dancing. The class will provide lessons in the fundamental movements associated with this unique and exhilarating form of dance. During each session the students will discover how the movements relate to rhythm and the significance of each individual’s personality relate to their b-boy/b-girl persona.
This program will take place every Sunday beginning September 18, 2011 at the new Warren County Community Center (located at 538 Villa Ave.) from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The class is free for individuals of all ages and no experience is necessary.

Don't forget to sign your children up for the Summer Care Programs being offered through our Parks and Recreation Department! Two sessions are available for kids 5 to 11 years old, each with a morning and afternoon program. Registration began on April 2nd and only 50 children will be accepted per program, per session.
